Hey, everyone. Doing good? No complaints, just writing. Got a few minutes to riff a bit with a few words, sentences, paragraphs, fill out my thoughts onto a blank space. And for this blog, write what’s going on in my life and my career.
Happy to announce that the film I worked on as a storyboard artist-CLASSIC written and directed by Michelle Hoffman-was selected for the Silicon Beach Film Festival. Just got the news that it won an award at the festival, so shout out to Michelle and her cast and crew on their success. A few of the films I worked on are now making the film festival circuit. Another film I worked on was at Cannes. It’s a great feeling to find out that some of the films you worked on are in film festivals. Something to be proud of and to see how your boards were translated into actual shots with real actors in the scenes based on what you drew on small panels with a pencil and an eraser.
The other piece of news I have is the 10th Anniversary of a job I did for MTV. I was getting congratulations online at Linkedin about the MTV gig, so I thought it would be cool to write about it. You can read my newsletter on Linkedin, where I wrote about the illustration/cartoon art I did for their show, MTV’s THIS WEEK IN NEWS and my experience working for them. Here is a close up shot of me coloring/inking their logo. You just see my thumb holding, what I think is a black sharpie or a Prismacolor marker. Maybe a brush pen? Not sure.
I have posted the video link of the job on Facebook, Twitter and Stage 32. can check it out on those sites. I’ll leave the link below.
Anyway, check it out, the cartoons and illustrations I did on the MTV job. Guess that’s about it. Looking back, it was a fun gig. Getting paid to have fun and trying to flex some creative muscles. Keep going, don’t stop and don’t quit. Never give up. Have a great weekend, everyone.
